What these figures count

People who die in a crash on an interurban road, motorway or dual carriageway, or within the following 24 hours. City streets are not included, nor people who die days later in hospital: that figure, at 30 days and including urban roads, is published by the DGT months later and is considerably higher.

These are provisional figures and the DGT revises them: a month can change by one or two people from what its monthly report said. This page always shows the latest version of the daily table, which this site re-reads every morning.
